This initiative not only focuses on adopting out senior dogs but also works to raise public awareness about the importance of saving these loving animals.
One heartwarming story that emerged from the sanctuary this summer involved an inseparable duo, Romeo and Juliet.
Kristen Peralta, the founder of the rescue, immediately recognized the unique connection between the two dogs.
After arriving at the sanctuary, Romeo and Juliet began to settle into their new environment. However, the joy was short-lived when Romeo's health started to deteriorate. He lost interest in food, and it became clear that his kidney failure was worsening.
