Country singer Rory Feek has embarked on a new chapter in his life, tying the knot with Rebecca on July 14. The wedding took place in the picturesque setting of Greycliff, Montana, under a timber-frame pavilion, surrounded by family and friends who traveled from near and far to celebrate the occasion.
Feek’s new marriage comes nearly a decade after the heartbreaking death of his wife, Joey Feek. Joey, one half of the beloved country and bluegrass duo Joey + Rory, passed away on March 4, 2016, after a courageous battle with cervical and colorectal cancer.
Her death at the age of 40 left a profound void in Rory’s life, but his recent marriage marks a new beginning for him and his family.
Rory Feek shared the news of his marriage on his blog, where he reflected on the journey that led to this joyous occasion. In a heartfelt post titled "The Wedding Singer," Rory detailed the events that unfolded leading up to his wedding with Rebecca.
Central to their story is Rory and Joey’s 10-year-old daughter, Indiana, whose feelings played a pivotal role in the decision to marry.
For some time, Rory had been cautious about how Indiana perceived Rebecca. While Rebecca had been a supportive friend and schoolteacher to Indiana, Rory was careful to allow his daughter to form her own opinions about her. He wondered if Indiana would ever see Rebecca as more than a friend and whether she might come to accept Rebecca as a potential stepmother.
