Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is back to work after spending the first half of the summer attending several Taylor Swift Eras Tour shows. On Sunday, Kelce, 34, reported for the first official day of training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. He arrived at the facility with his best friend and teammate, Patrick Mahomes, ready to kick off another promising season.
The Chiefs' official X (formerly known as Twitter) account celebrated Kelce's return, posting a picture of him in his full practice gear with the caption, "KILLA STACHE IS BACK 👨🏻." In addition to the photo, the team shared a video of Kelce making his entrance into the facility, proudly showcasing his freshly shaved mustache. The video, titled "The return of El Travador," highlighted Kelce’s new look, a departure from the full beard and signature fade haircut he sported since the end of the NFL season in February.
Kelce’s return to the training field follows his 13th appearance at a Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, last week. While Kelce kept a low profile at the concert, Swift acknowledged his presence by referring to him as "the guy on the Chiefs" during her performance of "Karma." This lyric change, first introduced in November, has been a recurring gesture at every show Kelce has attended, underscoring the couple’s close relationship.
