In a tragic accident that occurred in Prescott, Arizona, a 39-year-old woman named Kristin Little lost her life after her car plunged 1,000 feet off a mountain. The accident took place on Friday in the Thumb Butte area, as confirmed by the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
Details of the Incident
Kristin Little was driving north on Thumb Butte Loop Road when she reportedly veered left, causing her vehicle to go off the road and descend the steep mountainside.
Deputies received the emergency call around 5 p.m. and rushed to the scene to conduct a rescue mission. After locating the vehicle approximately 1,000 feet down the mountainside, they discovered that Little had been ejected from the car and was found deceased about halfway down the slope.
“Due to the difficult terrain and the coming darkness, the decision was made to wait until light this morning to recover the victim, with YCSO personnel remaining with Ms. Little throughout the night,” the sheriff’s office stated in their release. The challenging conditions and the urgency of the situation added to the complexity of the recovery efforts.

Remarkably, Kristin Little’s dog, CJ, survived the harrowing incident.
