Lady Gaga, the 13-time Grammy winner, is officially engaged to her longtime partner, Michael Polansky. The engagement was revealed during a conversation between Gaga and French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 28. In the video posted by Attal on his TikTok, Gaga introduces Polansky as her "fiancé" and expresses her gratitude for his support.
Gaga had previously sparked engagement rumors in April when she was seen wearing a sparkling ring on her left ring finger. The rumors intensified when she and Polansky, a tech investor, made their relationship public at the 2020 New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas, where they were photographed kissing. Their romance was later confirmed when they attended the Super Bowl together in February 2021.
Gaga, who performed a cover of French singer Zizi Jeanmaire’s "Mon Truc En Plumes" at the 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony on July 26, had rarely spoken about Polansky publicly.
The engagement announcement comes amidst other speculations about Gaga's personal life. In June, there were rumors about her being pregnant, which she addressed on TikTok, clarifying that she was not expecting. “Not pregnant,” Gaga wrote, “just down bad crying at the gym.”
This engagement marks Gaga’s third. She was previously engaged to actor Taylor Kinney, with whom she split in 2016, and to talent agent Christian Carino, with whom she broke up in 2019.
