The much-anticipated second season of Hulu's drama series "Tell Me Lies" is set to premiere on September 4, with two episodes available for viewing right away. The series, which follows the tumultuous relationship between college students Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) over eight years, will delve deeper into the lives of their friend group in the aftermath of their summer breakup.
Core Relationship Focus:
Creator Meghan Oppenheimer emphasized that while the show will explore the impact of lies within the friend group, the central focus will remain on Lucy and Stephen. "It's definitely still Lucy and Stephen at the core. They're definitely the through line of the show," Oppenheimer told People.
Returning and New Cast Members:
Alongside Van Patten and White, who are a couple in real life, returning cast members include Sonia Mena as Pippa, Cat Missal as Bree, and Spencer House as Wrigley. The new season will also introduce Thomas Doherty, known from the "Gossip Girl" reboot and Disney's "Descendants" movies, as Leo, a new love interest for Lucy. Additionally, Tom Ellis, best known for his role in "Lucifer" and married to Oppenheimer since 2019, will join the cast as Oliver, a professor at Baird College.
Ellis's character is expected to add a mature perspective to the show.
