Droughtlander might be ending soon, but a different kind of heartache is on the horizon for "Outlander" fans. Brace yourselves, because the end is nigh for our favorite time-traveling lovers, and even the cast is bracing for the emotional fallout.
Caitriona Balfe, the fiery and brilliant actress who embodies Claire Fraser, recently confessed to Variety that the reality of filming those final scenes is starting to hit home (and by hit home, we mean induce a near-existential crisis).
“I think we have about a month left to shoot, so I’m about teetering close to the nervous breakdown stage,” Balfe shared, her voice thick with emotion. “It’s been 11 years, so I’ve literally seen everybody that I work with more than I’ve seen my family or anything else.
And it's not just saying goodbye to her on-screen family that has Balfe feeling sentimental.
"It’s gonna be so sad to say goodbye to this character that’s completely changed my career and changed my life," she admitted.
We get it, Caitriona. We're not crying, you're crying!
