Luke Newton, everyone's favorite new heartthrob thanks to his portrayal of Colin Bridgerton, is spilling the tea (or should we say, the champagne?) on what it was really like filming those steamy scenes with his on-screen love, Nicola Coughlan (aka Penelope Featherington).

Turns out, even the most swoon-worthy moments on "Bridgerton" come with a healthy dose of behind-the-scenes laughter, thanks to a certain "intimacy garment" and the playful camaraderie between these two actors.

Socks, Cups, and Unsuppressed Giggles: When Romance Meets Reality

In a candid interview with Men's Health, Newton didn't shy away from the elephant in the room - or rather, the sock in the room.

“You can’t help but think, ‘How am I going to look on camera?’” Newton admitted, reflecting on the inevitable anxieties of baring it all for the camera.

But it wasn’t until he caught a glimpse of himself in his, shall we say, specialized undergarment, that the giggles truly took over.

“I had a robe on, and I just started laughing at myself,” Newton recounted, painting a hilarious image of a Regency-era heartthrob grappling with modern-day modesty garments.

Ever the gentleman, Newton even gave Coughlan a heads-up before filming.
