Swift’s connection to the number 13 is well-known among her fans. In a 2009 MTV News interview, she shared that 13 has been a lucky number throughout her career, from being born on the 13th to her first album going gold in 13 weeks. The significance of 13 continues with her announcement of The Tortured Poets Department during her acceptance speech for best pop vocal album at the Grammys in February.
In her speech, Swift thanked the Recording Academy and her fans, revealing her new album’s release date and name. She shared the cover art on Instagram, adding, “All’s fair in love and poetry... 🤍.”
The Tortured Poets Department will be Swift’s 11th studio album. After a break from her record-breaking Eras Tour, which recently concluded its Singapore leg, she will resume touring in Europe starting May 9 with a show at the Paris La Défense Arena.
Stay tuned and keep your radios on Channel 13 for all things Taylor Swift!
