With the return of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon for its second season, aptly subtitled The Book of Carol, the fan-favorite characters of Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) are thrust into new and dangerous challenges. This season brings the long-awaited reunion of the two, but not without tension, danger, and emotional stakes that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
The last time fans saw Carol, she was back in the United States, determined to find Daryl, who was stranded in France. Season 2 picks up with Carol traveling to France, where Daryl continues his battle against the Pouvoir while protecting Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) and Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi).
Carol’s journey, however, is anything but smooth. The recently released trailer shows her fighting her way through hordes of walkers, armed with a sniper rifle, and determined to bring Daryl back home. Yet, Daryl’s entanglement with the Pouvoir and his commitment to protecting his newfound companions suggests that Carol’s mission won’t be simple.
The tension between Daryl and Carol is set to be one of the core emotional arcs this season.
